CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE`

Members of the Association of Running Clubs are protected by a Combined Liability policy which has been arranged for the Association by Perkins Slade Ltd of 3 Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BQ. Perkins Slade are specialist sports insurance brokers and handle the insurance protections for some 280 sports governing bodies. The insurance policy has been placed with one of the largest general insurers in the UK.
The policy is in three parts:-
 

Section A  Employers Liability to a limit of £10,000,000 (£5,000, 000 in respect of Terrorism ). The definition of Employee includes any volunteer acting under the supervision or direction of the insured club.
 

Section B  Public Liability of the club, its officers and members to a limit of £5,000,000 for death of or personal injury to any person and loss of or damage to material property.

The Territorial Limits are anywhere in the world
 

Section C Director’s and Officer’s Liability to a limit of £5,000,000.

The policy is subject to an excess of £250 for damage to property but no excess for death or personal injury.

As from 1st April 2008 Perkins Slade have placed a further layer of public liability protection for ARC .This increases the public liability limit to £10,000,000
