CRB CHECKS

The Association of Running Clubs (ARC) require that all volunteers who may work with young people under 18 years of age or vulnerable adults undertake a CRB check.

CRB checks need to be updated every 3 years.

We have a very simple procedure for these checks.

2 A senior member of your club should sit down with the applicant and complete the form. Before completion of the form the applicant must show proof of identity. When completing the form request an enhanced disclosure and indicate in Section Y on the back of the form that the applicant is a Volunteer. Send the Form to BusinessPaye at the address indicated together with a cheque for £5.88 made payable to BusinessPaye. This is to pay BusinessPaye for their services. The CRB do not charge for volunteers.
